Recently, I had the chance to be the second photographer for one of my dear friends, Alison Heffington for a gorgeous HighPointe Estate wedding. It was a truly beautiful day for the bride and groom, Abby and Zac! Their January wedding was one I’ll remember forever!

HighPointe Estate Wedding

The day began with capturing Abby preparing for the wedding. She had the most classic and elegant gown! I LOVE all of the lace details – and Abby looked stunning in it. After she was dressed, she and her bridesmaids took a moment to pray together. I always love moments like that on a wedding day. They’re so sweet and remind us why we do what we do!! During the prep, I actually got the chance to see one of my former brides – she was one of Abby’s bridesmaids!! The world feels so small sometimes and I secretly love that.

Once Abby was ready, she met Zac for a first look. Together, they talked, smiled and laughed together, celebrating the fact that they were about to be married!! During the first look, Zac and Abby also read their vows to each other. I love this little way to privately start their day together. It’s so special and intimate!!! When they were ready, we took more portraits of them – and I had such fun capturing the ones of them with the vintage car they chose for their getaway!

Then it was time for their ceremony! They had a quiet, intimate ceremony in the beautiful chapel at HighPointe Estate. It’s got a HUGE window and Zac and Abby chose to have florals surround the glass. It was just a beautiful effect. And the beautiful florals didn’t stop there. I headed to capture the reception setup. They chose to use gold accents to mix in some color in the white reception room. With the dark woods of the chairs and the white walls, the gold popped perfectly!!

Abby and Zac celebrated the night away with their family and friends (safety, of course) and had such a great time starting their life as husband and wife. Thank you to Abby and Zac for allowing me to be a part of their special day, and to Alison for asking me to help!
