The Kimball Art Museum for Courtney and John was special to them! Not only was this an exciting new season, but on their engagement session day, it was their anniversary! They both wanted something modern, yet nature because John proposed while they were hiking!

Meet Courtney and John! These two attended Texas A&M and met in 2018 at a tailgate! GO AGGIES! John approached Courtney and they just talked each other’s ears off! She then found out that John didn’t have a church home and invited him to Watermark in Dallas! After the invitation to church with her community, they went on their first date a week later and never stopped dating!

Courtney is a teacher and loves serving her students in the classroom and John works with commercial construction. These two are both an example of two people that love serving the community! John knew from the moment he saw Courtney at the tailgate, he was going to marry her!

John has this plan on how to proposed to Courtney in August of 2019. He wanted to propose at Estes Park because it was special to Courtney! John researched pictures he liked from the park and found he really loved! The funny thing is, he didn’t know where exactly it was or what trail it was on…oops! The afternoon on August 4th, they both headed into the park to hike! One of their favorite songs came on the radio (which to John was like: check). Then the parking lot was full, but 1 spot opened at the front (check). They started on the trail and then it peeled off to the side at Dream Lake and found a rock that they sat on top of. John realized, “This is the picture I remembered!”

When Courtney stood up as they were getting ready to leave, John was down on one knee!! Eeek!!! Courtney was so excited and John was full of tears and happiness and it was one of the greatest moments in his life!
