Congratulations, Halley and Beau! They planned a gorgeous Oak and Ivy summer wedding day that I had the joy of capturing. It was a hot day but Halley and Beau made the most of their Texas wedding day! Halley is a teacher, so they decided a summer wedding made the most sense – and I can totally relate! When Jeff and I got married, I was a teacher – so we did the same thing. It truly was a beautiful day and the perfect way for them to start their marriage. They were surrounded by so much love, it was amazing!
Halley and Beau met at ACU their freshman year, but they didn’t become friends until they were sophomores. After a year of friendship, they realized it was time for something more. During their junior year, they began dating – and the rest is history! Right before their two year anniversary, Beau proposed during “family portraits” – which was really just an excuse for the proposal.
One of the best parts of Halley and Beau’s summer wedding day at Oak + Ivy was how much love was surrounding them. They’re both some of the sweetest people I’ve ever known and it was just wonderful to watch their friends and family support them on such a big day. Halley and Beau kept things very traditional with no first look. Instead, they did a first touch. But, Beau did a first look with his sisters. It was so emotional to watch them – he’s the only brother, and you could tell how much they all adore him!!
From there, the emotions just kept piling up. Beau was emotional during the ceremony – he was definitely ready to become Halley’s husband! I loved watching them both during their portraits – you could tell they were both thrilled to be married. From their ceremony to reception, their wedding was beautiful and I am excited to share their day with y’all now on the blog! Enjoy scrolling through all of their grey and pink details at Oak + Ivy!!
