Late June weddings in Texas are known to be a little hot. Paul and Shayla’s special day was no exception. It was a beautiful day for a St.Ann’s Catholic wedding, but it did start of with thunder and a little rain during the getting ready and details.  On our way to the church, the thunder had passed and sun was out a little bit!

Shayla and Paul had a beautiful ceremony at St. Ann Catholic Church and celebrated with family and friends at Slate Venues. I left Paul and Shayla’s wedding day knowing I just wanted to continue to be friends with them and do double dates with them!

Their First Look..

Paul and Shayla’s 1st look had to be one of my favorites! This was their time to be alone on their wedding day and take everything in together. Paul couldn’t have been more excited and emotional to see Shayla in her beautiful dress! Their first look was full of laughter, smiles, and tears of happiness.  These two couldn’t have been more excited to become husband and wife that day and their love showed for each other during their first look!

These two have been together for 7 years and the laughter during the toasts by Shayla’s dad and his dad about Paul taking his time with proposing had everyone in smiles and so happy he did because it brought them closer and to their special day! I’m so blessed for couples who are friends and who allow me into their lives. 

I may only share a one full day together, but always leave feeling like I have made friends and have shared in a small but meaningful part of my couple’s special day! I love serving them in this special job I have!
