Chandelier Farms Wedding | Kait & Blake
This wedding Kait has been dreaming of since she was a little girl and I’m just so honored that I was able to be a part of it. I adore Kait and Blake, and their Chandelier Farms wedding day was elegant, super emotional, and so full of love. Kait and Blake are the sweetest couple together and they’re so in love. It was beautiful to bear witness to their Dallas wedding day!
The Chandelier Farms Wedding
When I mentioned that Kait and Blake had an emotional wedding day, I have to admit it wasn’t just them. Just 50 days before the wedding, Kait’s dad passed away unexpectedly. The entire day was difficult for her family, but they created so many special moments through the celebrations to honor and love on him and his memory. One of the ones I loved the most was that in her wedding gown, she had pieces of her dad’s shirt and her mother and mother-in-law’s wedding gowns sewn into the lining. How special is that?
Kait’s little brother stepped into his father’s role for her, including a sweet (and difficult) first look. At their ceremony in the Chandelier Farms’ gorgeous open air chapel, they left a portrait of her dad in the seat next to her mother while her brother walked Kait down the aisle. And, during the reception, I think we all cried. Her brother and other important men in her life danced with her during what would have been the father/daughter dance. It warmed my heart to just see Kait’s family step up and love on her during such an important day for her and Blake. I know they were both missing him, but they found such beautiful ways to honor and include his memory.
What They Love About Each Other
When I asked Kait and Blake what they love most about each other leading up to the wedding day, I was blown away. Kait told me: “I love Blake’s huge heart and fun personality. He has shown me constantly that he chooses me and doesn’t give up on me or us. Blake has shown me that not everyone leaves and that I serve a purpose on this Earth. He has the biggest heart and would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. I love how Blake can put a smile on my face when I least expect it but I need it the most. Blake truly is my dream come true!” And you better believe you could tell these two are in love on their wedding day! They couldn’t stop smiling and were just SO happy to be tying the knot. When I asked Blake, he told me: “I love how constantly cute Kait is and how precious she is even when she doesn’t mean to be.”
Congratulations again, Kait and Blake! Your wedding day was simply stunning and I loved being able to be a part of your celebration. I can’t wait to come back to the Chandelier Farms, either. What a gorgeous venue to start a marriage!!
