I’ve got a new video for you this week all about what’s in my camera bag as a family and wedding photographer here in Dallas, Texas! As someone who started her photography business with the camera I bought from Target 4.5 years ago, I know what it’s like to want to start but not know how. Today, I’m sharing my current gear that I love for photographing my clients AND my own kiddos. And, I’ll show you exactly what I started out with, too. Starting your own photography business is way easier than you think!
I keep all of my gear in my favorite bag: The Kamerette Bag! It’s gorgeous, sturdy, and keeps all of my photography gear safe. All of my camera gear is listed in the video, so be sure to tune in. But… When I capture my kiddos, I use my 5d Mark iii or my R6 with my Canon 50 1.2 or my canon 28-70 RF lens. I love using these lenses to capture my kiddos or on portrait sessions as there are great versatile lenses. They’re easy to use and the images are always stunning. The Canon 50 1.8 (also call the nifty fifty) and the Canon 50 1.2 lenses are great to start off with when capturing your kids or starting a small photography business.
