I am so excited to share this sweet intimate Sedona wedding day. I have known Charissa’s mom now for 4 years and when Charissa got engaged to Michael in December, they immediately reached out and asked me to come and serve them during their special day. I couldn’t have been more honored and so excited to head to Sedona and watch Charissa and Michael get married. They’re just such special people, and I knew their wedding day would be so unique in the Arizona desert! 

Intimate Sedona Wedding Day

They got ready at an airbnb and they wanted to do a first look before their ceremony. It’s the perfect way to get to see your soon-to-be-spouse and douse those wedding day jitters. Not to mention, it gives us more time for portraits! Charissa actually did two first looks – one with her dad and brother, and then the one with Michael. Both were SO sweet. After Charissa and Michael were ready, we were able to explore more of Sedona in the middle of the day. It was a great time to knock out such truly beautiful portraits in the desert! When we were done with portraits, it was time for their ceremony.

Charissa and Michael decided to keep their wedding day small, with only 55 guests. Their ceremony was in an absolutely beautiful courtyard at Tlaquepaque! It was seriously stunning. During the ceremony, they did a sand ceremony – which I just love. Their guests were able to explore more of the venue during cocktail hour while the incredible team at Tlaquepaque flipped the space for their intimate outdoor dinner reception. Tables were lit by candlelight and their guests were able to be seated to enjoy dinner, toasts, and each other’s company. After that, the party began!
