I can’t believe that it’s time to share my LAST 2021 wedding with you! Congratulations to Korey and Joy! I couldn’t have asked for a better pair to end my 2021 wedding season with. Korey and Joy planned an intimate winter wedding at the Nest at Ruth Farms (one of my favorite Dallas venues!). For a late December wedding, we had the most beautiful day and the newlyweds were able to enjoy their original plans for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.
Korey and Joy have been waiting for a long time for their wedding day. After meeting through their homeschool basketball team in middle school, they took a few years to become friends and get close. But not long into their sophomore year, they realized they had more than just chemistry class together – there was some real chemistry, too! In 2016, Joy told Korey she liked him at one of his basketball games and they’ve been together ever since. Now they’re husband and wife and their day was just beautiful!
One thing I loved about their winter wedding was that Korey and Joy chose to use a non-winter inspired palette for their celebration. They stuck with blush, ivory, and greens with hints of winter throughout their decor. Everything felt so elegant and sweet – I LOVED it all! Korey and Joy opted to do a first look outside the Nest at Ruth Farms before the day got busy and I’m so happy they did. You could just see the relief and love written all over their faces. With a romantic outdoor wedding (I’m obsessed with this ceremony site, seriously!) and a beautiful indoor reception, their intimate day was everything they dreamed of.
Congratulations, Korey and Joy! Thank you for letting me be with you on your special day. I wish you nothing but a lifetime of love and happiness together. I had a blast closing out my 2021 wedding year with your beautiful day!
