I’m beyond excited to share Samantha and Gavin’s beautiful Dallas Texas engagement session with you! Samantha and Gavin met during in high school in Flower Mound and then reconnected when they went to Texas Tech a few years later. Seeing a familiar face in a new town was so comforting, according to this sweet couple. Not long after running into each other again in college, they began to date and their relationship just blossomed.

In February, Gavin took Samantha to Caprock Winery for a date night to celebrate the end of a stressful semester. As they were seated for a private dinner, Samantha noticed Gavin was starting to look nervous. Not long after, Gavin dug into his pocket for the ring and got down on one knee. Obviously Samantha said yes! And, the bonus was that her college roommate was filming the entire thing! Now, they’re planning their wedding at Oak and Ivy – and I know it will be beautiful.

Dallas Texas Engagement Session

To celebrate their engagement, we met in the Dallas Arboretum for portraits. We had a beautiful day to shoot – full of gorgeous weather and stunning sunset… it was seriously amazing!! Samantha and Gavin showed up to our first location along the waterfront – don’t you love her dress?! It was the perfect pop of color against the sunset. After some time along the waterfront, we moved to the Arboretum. As you probably realize by now, I LOVE shooting here. There’s so many stunning spots among the gardens – and Samantha and Gavin were super relaxed. They are incredibly easy to work with – naturals in front of the camera (I can’t wait for their wedding day!). Honestly, there wasn’t a better way to spend an evening than with these two.
