I’m so excited to be sharing Remy and Kyle’s gorgeous Nest at Ruth Farms engagement session with you today! It was so much fun to photograph this sweet couple in the very spot they’ll tie the knot next year. How special is that? It’s not often that I work with my couples their venue, but I love when I get the chance to. Remy and Kyle are just so, so sweet and I loved every moment of their sweet engagement photos! 

Their Love Story 

Kyle and Remy met during their freshman year of high school in Flower Mound, TX. At the time, they were both on the swim team and became friends while they practiced and went to games together. They never dated, though. And when graduation rolled around, they went separate directions without really staying in touch. But, during their sophomore year in college, a mutual friend (who gets to be a bridesmaid next year!) set up a luncheon for a group of their high school friends. Both of them were invited and they reconnected while they were there! After that luncheon, they wound up spending the rest of that Christmas break together. 

When the break ended, they decided to give a long distance relationship a try. And that try turned into two and a half years of a relationship between Texas and California. When Remy graduated from school out west, she returned home to Texas where Kyle was waiting for her. After a year, they moved into together – and got two cats, too! 

The Proposal

During a trip to California to visit some of Remy’s old roommates and college friends, she had a feeling something was going to happen. While they were on the beach one of the nights of their trip, Kyle got down on one knee and proposed. It was so special because he included some of the people that mean the most to Remy and he chose to do it in California. They had a great time getting to fly home and surprising their families with the good news. 

Now they’re planning their spring wedding at the Nest at Ruth Farms and I can’t wait to see these sweethearts again. Destiny definitely brought them back together and I know they’re going to have a wonderful life together!! Enjoy their Nest at Ruth Farms engagement session!
