Rockledge Park Engagement Session | Ali & Cory

I’m SO excited to be Ali and Cory’s wedding photographer next June! Ali was a bridesmaid in one of my past weddings and I was just so flattered when she reached out to me about being her wedding photographer. There is nothing like being able to serve a bride and her friends and family. It means so much to me when these connections happen! She and Cory are tying the knot at Ashton Gardens next June, so we met up recently for their Rockledge Park engagement session in Grapevine and we just had such a fun time!

Their Love Story

Ali and Cory met in 2016 while they were in college. They wound up sharing a taxi on the way to a get together while Cory was visiting Tuscaloosa from Auburn. After the cab ride, he asked Ali for her phone number and they spent the next week talking on the phone until early in the morning. The next week, the met to go cliff jumping at Lake Nicol for their first official date… and the rest is history!

After dating for 5 years, Cory proposed while they were on a date at the Gaylord in Grapevine. Ali says that he’d been taking her on dates like that for months to throw her off, so she was so surprised when he actually proposed while they walked around before dinner! She was even more surprised when two of her best friends, her parents, and brothers came into town afterwards to celebrate. Ali and Cory are so sweet together – they adore cooking, watching college football, and taking care of their goldendoodle puppy – Emmett! I know they’re just thrilled to be engaged and planning the next step of their lives together!

Rockledge Park Engagement Session

I met up with Ali and Cory on a gorgeous day at L Rockledge Park. We had the most beautiful sun coming through the trees and it made them both look incredible! We started near the edge of the woods before moving over to the waterfront. I’m obsessed with Ali’s blue dress. She looked so beautiful! And she even brought a fun hat to pair with the dress, creating some nice variety in their final images. We ended their session as the sunset started and I loved watching the two of them just enjoy themselves while we wrapped up.

Congratulations again, Ali and Cory! It’s clear that you’re meant for each other and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. I can’t wait to see you again in June as you become husband and wife!
