Ellie and Brandon are the cutest couple and I had a blast with them this spring! We met up to capture their Dallas Arboretum engagement photos, and I honestly smiled so much that my face hurt when I left. Ellie and Brandon are like that – they make you smile and laugh so easily. It’s clear to see how in love they are!

Their Love Story

While we were out for their engagement session, I got to learn a little bit more about Ellie and Brandon’s love story and proposal! They met at work and were friends for awhile before they began dating. Ellie had a huge crush (her words!) on Brandon and would find any excuse to talk to him (which is so sweet!). When a bunch of coworkers decided to go up to Winstar, Brandon finally asked Ellie out on the trip. Before long, they knew this was it and Brandon proposed. One night before Ellie was going out of town, he told her to prepare for a dinner. Instead of going to a restaurant though, he took her to a lookout point. Brandon had timed everything perfectly and right at sunset, he got down on one knee to propose. Afterwards, they went to dinner and Ellie was surprised by their friends there to celebrate!

Dallas Arboretum Engagement Photos

We decided on the Dallas Arboretum for their engagement session. This one of my favorite places to capture my couples, all times of year. But, the spring is so special! The flowers really come to life and we can explore sections that aren’t as pretty in other parts of the year. Ellie and Brandon walked and talked with me during our session. I LOVE the outfits they chose – they look amazing together in the gardens! And afterwards, we headed over to the waterfront to end their session.
