Congratulations to Layne and Nolan!! Layne and Nolan’s spring wedding at the Grand Ivory was stunning! It was full of friends and families and the weather was just perfect! The Grand Ivory has quickly become one of my favorite venues here in Dallas, and I’m thrilled Layne and Nolan chose for their day to be here. I’m so excited to be sharing their gorgeous wedding with you today!!!

Their Love Story 

Layne and Nolan met while they were in high school. From the moment Nolan heard about Layne, he knew that she would have a big impact on her life. During study hall, Nolan had Layne “tutor” him in math (math was his strong suit) but his little scheme worked. Before long, they were heading towards a real relationship not based on Calculus anymore. They began to date through a long-distance relationship and then were able to be together at Texas A&M after graduation for a few years. When they told me about this phase of their relationship, I was just in awe of their love for each other, even at a young age. 

Nolan approached Layne’s parents and grandparents about cleaning up a barn on her grandparents’ property that she loved playing in growing up for their proposal. Together, the two families worked to repair the barn, clean it, hang a chandelier and decorate. On the day of the proposal, they went to a nice dinner and then headed by to see her grandparents who told her there was a new cow in the barn! As they walked outside, she realized what was going on. They danced and then he proposed. Afterwards, their family and friends came to celebrate their engagement! It’s so sweet and glimpse of how special these two are. 

Spring Wedding at The Grand Ivory

Layne and Nolan had a beautiful spring wedding at The Grand Ivory. With a ceremony in the outdoor chapel and a fun reception with their guests, you could just tell how excited they were to be married. I know Layne and Nolan were also thrilled to be able to celebrate with everyone they love in one place! Layne made a beautiful bride and I loved her bouquet of white flowers. It was perfect against all of the white walls and barn of The Grand Ivory! It was a really beautiful day and I’m so happy I could be with Layne and Nolan for their wedding!!
