Mae’s Ridge Wedding | Makenzie & Michael

Makenzie and Michael are married!! I know these high school sweethearts have been waiting for this day for many years – and it was SO beautiful. I feel honored to have been a part of their stunning summer Mae Ridge wedding day. Makenzie and Michael started dating their senior year of high school and then spent the next four years in a long distance relationship through college. Although it was hard, they told me it taught them a lot about themselves!

After a surprise date to Waco last December, Michael popped the question and they began planning their dream wedding day. Although not everything may have gone quite to plan (thanks, COVID!!), they had a beautiful wedding. And, they were just simply excited to finally get married and celebrate with the people they love the most.

Mae’s Ridge Wedding

I was SO excited to be back at Mae Ridge for Makenzie and Michael’s wedding day. Makenzie got ready with her girls before their first look. They exchanged letters and lots of hugs, and I knew they couldn’t wait to get to their outdoor ceremony. They had the most GORGEOUS arbor filled with beautiful white flowers and greenery. After their ceremony, I was able to steal them away to explore the venue for a little bit with the newlyweds. I always LOVE that part of a wedding day!!

Before long, it was time for their reception. And, my goodness, I absolutely loved the modern feel of their wedding reception!! With lots of gold, ivory, and greenery throughout, it was simply stunning. I can’t get over all of the beautiful details that Makenzie and Michael put together. With some modifications for everyone’s safety, we all had a great time celebrating the newlyweds!

Congratulations again, Makenzie and Michael! Your day was simply stunning!! I wish you nothing but the best!
